A LAZY GIRL

 A man and a woman got into marriage each having one girl from their previous marriages that had failed. This woman started abusing Mary, the girl who belonged to the father, she did all the house chores while her daughter Sara was in bed resting.

Whenever Mary complained of doing all the chores and her sister is on bed, the mother said that "Sara's hands are light and soft and so when she take part in hard tasks she will hurt her Soft hands and legs. " Mary was a hardworking girl she never got tired of doing the work. Her Father realized that Sara was being overworked , he told Sara to go and look for a job in town so as to move away from the home. Mr. Juma told her daughter to give a hand of help from whoever that needed it. Mary worked up early up the  next day and started her journey to the far city in search for a job in order to come and treat her ailing father. While on the way Mary encountered a borehole, it was very dirty. The borehole pleaded for Mary to was it and it will reward her. She washed and left. She again found a dying tree whose branches are dry. The tree pleaded that Mary climbs on it and cut all the dry branches. She did so and the tree thanked her.

She continued with her journey, it was getting dark and she saw a magnificent house ahead . She decided to go into the house plead to the owner that she spends a night before proceeding with the journey the following day. After a conversation they agreed with the queen of the house that she will be working there for the time being instead of going to the city.

Mary was told to work in the six rooms and not to enter the seventh room and in deed she obeyed the law. She worked for some time and one day she told the queen that she wants to go home and see her ailing father whom she left 3years ago.

The queen was happy with her hardwork and gave her presents. She took her to the seventh room that was full of gold. She told her to roll in the gold so as her clothes will be full of gold. Mary Did that and she came out glamouring. She then departed going back home ,on the way  she got the tree that was dying full of ripe fruits. The tree told Mary to eat the fruits until she's satisfied because she helped it. She ate and carried some for her father.

She encountered a borehole that she had washed . The borehole told the girl to drink water because she helped it .Mary drank until she was satisfied and continued with her journey home.

She arrived at home and found her father at the door waiting for her.

Her father was happy on seeing how beautiful her daughter was looking. She welcomed her in the house.

The mother envied Mary and went to Sara's bedroom, she told her daughter to go and look for a job like how Mary had done.

Sara set off early the following day to the far city in search for a job. She encountered the same things on the way as how Mary had done . But she didn't turn up to help. She met a dirty borehole that requested Sara to wash it but she refused saying she will hurt her Soft hands and legs. She told the borehole to wash itself.

After walking for sometime she again found a dying tree that requested Sara to cut dry branches on it but Sara refused to give help claiming she will hurt her Soft hands.

  Dark was coming and she decided to go into a nearby house ,spend a night before going continuing with her journey the following day. Unfortunately she entered in a queen's house, the one that Mary had stayed. After telling the queen what she was going for ,she told her to stay there and work for them. Still the queen warn her not to enter the 7th room but to only wash the six rooms. Although she kept on wondering what might be in that room.

Sara had a hard time in doing the chores because she was not used to doing all that.

One day Sara was furious to know what is in the seventh room. She went ,opened the door to check what was there. She was welcomed by a swam of bees that bit him terribly.

Sara screamed and ran for help. she got hungry and decided to go back home. Her body didn't look beautiful anymore but full of sores from bees bites.

On her way Sara was hungry and thirsty, she found the tree that she refused to help is full of ripe fruits, but when Sara tried to get some  the tree  grew taller .she decided to continue with the journey.sh again met the borehole that she refused to wash. When she tried to get some, the level of water in the borehole fall deeper that she could not reach.

Sara continued with her journey back home. On arrival her mother was at the door waiting for her.

 Sara wasn't glamouring like how Mary was, but instead her body was full of sores. Her mother was furious and wanted to know what happened to her. Sara gave a story about what happened. The father was inside the house but keenly listening.  As soon as she finished narrating the story  Mary's Father got out and told the mother to go away with her lazy girl . He chased them away  and stayed at home with her hardworking daughter, Sara.

 LESSON

1.Step-parents should not mistreat children's they are staying with but instead love them as their own.

2.Parents should teach there children house chores so that they can fit in wherever place they go.

3.Parents should teach there children to be responsible, respectful and obedient.
